Our Centre
Our Classrooms
Lighthouse childcare is proud to present modern, architecturally designed, environmentally friendly childcare centre. The location of the centre is centralised and accessible within the local community, into which Lighthouse childcare hopes to become fully integrated. Our aim is to make the environment at lighthouse one that is clean, secure, fresh and modern with ample resources that encourage your child to explore and discover.
We have 3 separate classrooms with fun and individual names that are generally associated with the ‘Lighthouse’ theme.
Starfish Room
(Ages 0-2)

Our nursery classroom provides babies and toddlers with high quality care in home-like environments. We ensure our nursery provides a rich, comfortable and secure environment where your child will feel relaxed and happy to play and interact with staff and other children. Our carers provide individualised care to children and create a warm, caring and nurturing environment to help with the development of your child’s emotional security. We meet children’s physical and emotional needs through daily care routines, one-to-one interactions with each child as well as small group play times.
Turtle Room
(Ages 2-3)

The toddlers program balances our nursery and preschool philosophies. Our aim is to build individual skills as well as extend vocabulary, self-help skills, build concentration to encourage the starting and finishing of activities. We are working on building these skills through music and movement, language groups, art/craft experiences and throughout daily routines.
Dolphin Room
(Ages 3-6)

As the toddlers develop, they will move into our school readiness program, which incorporates many types of experiences to assist your child with the appropriate transition to school.
At lighthouse we offer, foreign language, technology in the classrooms and the lastest interactive educational programs.
Our focus is on children becoming competent learners. Having a confident learner sets a good foundation for a lifetime of learning. This is done through emergent curriculum; learning through play.
